Gansevoort Las Vegas will tout 188 guest rooms with 19 suites and features a Parisian apartment-style theme designed by local firm Tandem Las Vegas, which also designed boutique hotel Rumor.
The renovation includes a 40,000-square-foot casino, a redesigned lobby bar, an ultra-lounge and retail outlets.
We are confident that Gansevoort Las Vegas will be one of the most exciting destinations in Las Vegas when it opens in 2014.
The official announcement also confirmed previous stories July 6, 2010, and Aug.
The property was opened in 1979 as the Boyd Gaming-owned Barbary Coast.

He performs pretty much daily in the piano bar - it's a free show which is awesome!
Plan to arrive a bit early to grab a good seat, as BE is very popular for good reason.
You'll hear a great mix of the entire Elvis oeuvre - country, rock, even some gospel.
Our most recent visit started with Suspicious Minds the greatest Elvis song IMOmoved on to Unchained Melody and then blew up with Devil in Disguise - complete with an elderly man dancing along in light up devil horns.
There's no doubting Big Elvis' talent - his voice is incredible and he really interacts with his audience.
I love watching people casually walking by stop dead to listen to him belting out a song or two.
Don't miss this great performer - it's wonderful, weird and 100% Vegas.
Big Elvis is awesome.

The most you get out of Big Elvis is a semi-standing shoulder shake and then he sits back down!
Very friendly guy, takes pictures and will talk with anyone after the show shows only about 40 minutes long.
He genuinely enjoys putting on his show!
I went to this show begrudgingly, I'm not a huge Elvis fan, and left a huge Elvis fan.
Charming, charismatic and has a golden voice.
If you have the chance I highly recommend!

He always provides excellent entertainment with a fine Elvis voice and terrific personality.
But worth paying for so a superb bargain.
It's like visiting family after you've been once.
He performs several shows a day and changes his song sheet regularly.
What can I say, I'm a sucker for Big Elvis Pete Vallee.
I initially went many years ago for the novelty of seeing, at that time, a 600 lb.
BE is so much more.
I think he's the best vocalist of any of the Elvis singers in LV.
I once went to his show at Bill's, and there were 4 I kid you not other Elvis impersonators who work in LV sitting at the bar and watching him perform his magic.
I talked to all of them, and each one told me that BE has the purest Elvis voice in Vegas.
It was surreal, but way fun.
Don't go expecting him to get up and shimmy and shake like Elvis.
There's a little of that, but his weight limits what he can do.
Go to have a great time.
Sing along, laugh, participate in the contests.
After all, the show's free.
You'll have a ball!
And get a picture with him after the show!
And buy a beer cozy with his picture on it.
It works great as you wander around the strip and is a great conversation starter.

There were segments in his act where he called up audience members to perform and the audience would pick the winner.
I went up three times, and won all three!!
Another great aspect of the show is where he would ask for requests.
I actually met him in the back and requested, Heart of Rome.
For those of you who are not big bills casino las vegas with Elvis' songs, this song is very hard to sing; unless you have the range to do it from Baritone during the verses and going up an octave higher with each chorus!
He did it; quite well although his voice did break with the last chorus, but I couldn't blame him.

The Big Elvis Show has moved from the party time atmosphere of Bill's Gambling Hall to the corporate atmosphere of Harrah's Piano Bar.
In Bill's Gambling Hall it seemed that the King of the Strip was the King of Bill's Gambling Hall.
The sounds of the Big Elvis Show dominated the open spaces of Bill's Gambling Hall.
When Big Elvis performed a people at the slot machines and bar celebrated with Big Elvis.
However in Harrah's Piano Bar, the room is cramped and the pianos in the center cause visibility issues.
The Big Elvis Show is more than listening to Elvis Presley and classics by other artists.
The Big Elvis Show has a couple of audience participation segments.
One is where a man in the audience will dress up in an Elvis wig read more play a balloon guitar while five women from the audience join him in dancing.
Usually Big Elvis is performing "Burning Love" or "Viva Las Vegas.
I find it the later, and never once participated.
I recommend seeing the Big Elvis Show.
Not expensive for a show!
Big Elvis sings the songs made famous by a man that he admires.
Elvis Presley's real life best friend Sonny West was the best man at Big Elvis' s public wedding in Bill's Gambling Hall.
Big Elvis wears Elvis Presley's TCB Taking Care of Business ring.
Through his admiration, Big Elvis introduces songs with interesting Elvis Presley facts and follows a few similar traditions of an Elvis Presley concert.
Big Elvis might give a scarf to a person in the audience.
And he could end the last set with "Can't Help Falling in Love With You.
Big Elvis still has big charisma that leaves me feeling anything but all shook up.
He plays in yhe afternoon 2 to 6.
The price of drinks here expensive however We visited big Elvis a couple of years ago with family members Walt and Coleen.
It was a fantastic show with a lot of interaction with the audience.
Pete Vallee is a real showman.
Big Elvis was a highlight of our visit to Las Vegas.
There are slicker shows, bigger shows, and much more expensive shows.
But there are no shows that are as much fun.
His voice is uncannily like the King's.
I'd go back in a minute.
I had a chance to check out the show again when I had family in town.
Since my last review they have moved the show over to Harrahs a couple of casinos north of Bills.
He takes requests from the audience, has a bit that includes audience participation, and he covers such a wide variety of Elvis' catalog.
I knocked the stars off because of Harrahs and the new venue they moved the show to.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the seating here is much more limited than it was with the set up over at Bill's.
Also, they require you purchase at least one of their price gouging drinks in order to check it out.
You had to see that coming.
Something cool and free on the strip can't last for too long, if they can help it.
So, for the required over priced drinks and change to a crappy venue, I had to knock off a couple of stars.
Big Elvis is still awesome though!
With the demise of Bill's Gamblin' Hall now the CromwellBig Elvis moved over to the piano bar at Harrah's.
While I definitely prefer the venue of Bill's Gamblin' Hall, this bar at Harrah's works too.
I like to grab a seat at the bar, game a little, and get some beers.
It definitely seems like less of a crowd here than at Bill's, which is a true shame.
But the show itself remains the same - totally awesome.
This is the greatest free show in Vegas!
And even if I had to pay, it would still be one of my fav Vegas shows.
If you have any sort of appreciation for Elvis, you will love this show!
And even if you aren't a Elvis fan, but appreciate a free show and good people watching, you'll like this show.
Still the best Elvis in town.

Peter Big Elvis is without doubt one of the best shows I have seen in Vegas, and I have paid to see some of the bigger shows.
His voice more info amazing, not only did he sing Elvis songs but he also sang Lois Armstrong.
In summary a must see in Vegas, certainly gave me that feel good factor and goose pimples on my neck 10 out of 10.
I don't love Elvis nor do I hate him, so I came into this with an open mind.
I like music and I always enjoy a free concert.

Why this happens, I have no idea.
What I do know is that it makes him impossible to see if you're 20 or more feet away from the stage - The music and noise from the casino, street, etc is distracting and will drown out Big Elvis if you're not close to the stage - The opening act Kenny Rogers lookalike sings a few songs to kick things off, only to come back near the end of the show to sing a few more.
No one is impressed - Big Elvis dips into the king's gospel catalog quite a bit games />If you're not a fan of his slower tunes, you may fall asleep As a big fan of kitschy Vegas, it's hard not to get 100% behind this strange act.
However, Big Elvis is simply missing the zing that makes Vegas entertainment so special.
My husband and I accidentally big foot doctor games this show in 2011 at Bills and we feel in love with big elvis.
He's a sweetie with an amazing elvis voice.

Since my last review they have moved the show over to Harrahs a couple of casinos north of Bills.
He takes requests from the audience, has a bit that includes audience participation, and he covers such a wide variety of Elvis' catalog.
I knocked the stars off because of Harrahs and the new venue they moved the show to.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the seating here is much more limited than it was with the set up over at Bill's.
Also, they require you purchase at least one of their price gouging drinks in order to check it out.
You had to see that coming.
Something cool and free on the strip can't last for too long, if they can help it.
So, for the required over priced drinks and change to a crappy venue, I had to knock off a couple of stars.

I like to grab a seat at the bar, game a little, and get some beers.
It definitely seems like less of a crowd here than at Bill's, which is a true shame.

Being a lover of all things Elvis, I am a huge fanā¦ Hands down, this is the best free show in Vegas.

In my humble opinion, his voice is far better than any other Elvis tribute artist in town.
In fact, better than any anywhere.
And you get to hear him sing for free!

There are old ladies swooning as they relive their Elvis memories of the past, drunk frat boys disappointed in the lack of women to hit on but having a good time anyways, other Elvis impersonators, audience participation with prizesand a Conway Twitty impersonator.
I often can't believe this is free - and 3 times a day.
It's awesome in every way possible - and totally an only in Vegas experience.
I suggest arriving 20 minutes or so before the show and grabbing a seat at the bar as opposed to the tables.
This enables you to secure a good viewing spot and you can play video poker and drink free beer while you wait.

What can I say, I'm a sucker for Big Elvis Pete Vallee.
I initially went many years ago for the novelty of seeing, at that time, a 600 lb.
BE is so much more.
I think he's the best vocalist of any of the Elvis singers in LV.
I once went to his show at Bill's, and there were 4 I kid you not other Elvis impersonators who work in LV sitting at the bar and watching him perform his magic.
I talked to all of them, and each one told me that BE has the purest Elvis voice in Vegas.
It was surreal, but way fun.
Don't go expecting him to get up and shimmy and shake like Elvis.
There's a little of that, but his weight limits what he can do.
Go to have a great time.
Sing along, laugh, participate in the contests.
After all, the show's free.
You'll have a ball!
And get a picture with him after the show!
And buy a beer cozy with his picture on it.
It works great as you wander around the strip and is a great conversation starter.
BTW - he does 3 45 minute shows each day he appears.
I stay for at least 2 of them.

Two years ago, when we visited Las Vegas for our honeymoon, we were a bit disappointed that they were renovating and Big Elvis wasn't playing I believe this was when he was at Harrah's.
During this past trip to celebrate my husband's birthday, I was again sad to learn that he wasn't performing again.
If you're a huge Elvis fan, this is one stop that I recommend to place on your list of to-do's in Vegas.
Let me start with the voice.
As a huge Elvis fan in my own right, an Elvis impersonator, and own a collection of Elvis paraphernalia, I say in my honest opinion, this guy is better than most Elvis impersonators in Vegas.
Having been born in the 80's, I couldn't get to see the King of Rock and Roll in person.
However, after my wife say that this guy has solid reviews, I had to see for myself.
I closed my eyes as he was singing and I felt like I was listening to one of the many Elvis concerts I have on DVD.
There were segments in his act where he called up audience members to perform and the audience would pick the winner.
I went up three times, and won all three!!
Another great aspect of the show is where he would ask for requests.
I actually met him in the back and requested, Heart of Rome.
For those of you who are not familiar with Elvis' songs, this song is very hard to sing; unless you have the range to do it from Baritone during the verses and going up an octave higher with each chorus!
He did it; quite well although his voice did break with the last chorus, but I couldn't blame him.
That song is hard!
If you consider yourself to be an Elvis fan, this is an essential stop in Vegas.

The songs he sings range from fast numbers that include "Viva Las Vegas," Burning Love,"and "Little Sister" to ballads that include "My Way" and "Always on My Mind.
In the years that I have seen the Big Elvis Show, my opinion of the show has ranged from three to five stars.
A back story to the show has been Big Elvis' s major weight loss.
He went from weighing in the ball park of 950 pounds to approximately 450 pounds.
That is 500 pounds lost.
In a way a back story of the Big Elvis show is that determination pays.
The best Big Elvis shows were a couple of years ago in 2009, after he lost all that weight.
In 2013 there have been changes that keep the show from a five star rating.
The Sun Studios Dueling Guitar set is gone.

I initially went many years ago for the novelty of seeing, at that time, a 600 lb.
BE is so much more.
I think he's the best vocalist of any of the Elvis singers in LV.
I once went to his show at Bill's, and there were 4 I kid you not other Elvis impersonators who work in LV sitting at the bar and watching him perform his magic.
I talked to all of them, and each one told me that BE has the purest Elvis voice in Vegas.
It was surreal, but way fun.
Don't go expecting him to get up and shimmy and shake like Elvis.
There's a little of that, but his weight limits what he can do.
Go to have a great time.
Sing along, laugh, participate in the contests.
After all, the show's free.
You'll have a ball!
And get a picture with him after the show!
And buy a beer cozy with his picture on it.
It works great as you wander around the strip and is a great conversation starter.
BTW - he does 3 45 minute shows each day he appears.
I stay for at least 2 of them.

I've seen his show a number of times and have never been disappointed.
Its always awesome and a really fun time.
Forget about the big aspect of his show, he is a super friendly and approachable guy that sings the songs spot-on and makes it really fun for everyone there.
Is he the best Elvis impersonator in Las Vegas?
He is by far the funnest and most genuine act I have seen to date.
I would gladly pay to see this act but its actually free.
At the time of writing this, he was performing at the piano bar at Harrah's on Mondays, Wednesday's, and Friday's at 230, 330, and 530.
Do yourself a favor, see this show.
Meet the guy, Shake his hand.
Take a pic with him.
And leave him a nice tip.
Its well worth it.

Two years ago, when we visited Las Vegas for our honeymoon, we were a bit disappointed that they were renovating and Big Elvis wasn't playing I believe this was when he was at Harrah's.
During this past trip to celebrate my husband's birthday, I was again sad to learn that he wasn't performing again.
If you're a huge Elvis fan, this is one stop that I recommend to place on your list of to-do's in Vegas.
Let me start with the voice.
As a huge Elvis fan in my own right, an Elvis impersonator, and own a collection of Elvis paraphernalia, I say in my honest opinion, this guy is better than most Elvis impersonators in Vegas.
Having been born in the 80's, I couldn't get to see the King of Rock and Big bills casino las vegas in person.
However, after my wife say that this guy has solid reviews, I had to see for myself.
I closed my eyes as he was singing and I felt like I was listening to one of the many Elvis concerts I have on DVD.
There were segments in his act where he called up audience members to perform and the audience would pick the winner.
I went up three times, and won all three!!
Another great aspect of the show is where he would ask for requests.
I actually met him in the back and requested, Heart of Rome.
For those of you who are not familiar with Elvis' songs, this song is very hard to sing; unless you have the range to do it from Baritone during the verses and going up an octave higher with each chorus!
He did it; quite well although his voice did break with the last chorus, but I couldn't blame him.
That song is hard!
If you consider yourself to be an Elvis fan, this is an essential stop in Vegas.

I have been watching it for years and love watching Pete Big Elvis.
His voice is magnificent.
I preferred the old location, Bills, over this one.
The Piano Bar is too small and cramped for the show, in my opinion.
Very hard to see Big Elvis.
This is a phenomenal experience and something you must check out while in Vega.

It has been a unique relationship.
I drink a beer or coffee and Big Elvis sings Elvis Presley songs.
Actually whether it be in Bill's Gambling Hall or now Harrah's Piano Bar, Big Elvis has been performing to a sold out room.
What makes Big Elvis big bills casino las vegas great performer is that it seems that he is singing directly to each person in the room.
That is a sign of charisma.
Big Elvis ought to be called Big Charisma.
There are countless Elvis Presley imitators.
What makes Big Elvis stand out from the Elvis Presley imitators is his remarkable voice.
Before the show starts and between sets, they will play a Big Elvis album.
The three sets from 2 to 7 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday showcase his voice.
All eyes and ears are drawn on this giant of a man seated on a king chair singing Elvis Presley songs backed up by music from a karaoke machine.
I have never grew tired of his voice.
The songs he sings range from fast numbers that include "Viva Las Vegas," Burning Love,"and "Little Sister" to ballads that include "My Way" and "Always on My Mind.
In the years that I have seen the Big Elvis Show, my opinion of the show has ranged from three to five stars.
A back story to the show has been Big Elvis' s major weight loss.
He went from weighing in the ball park of 950 pounds to approximately 450 pounds.
That is 500 pounds lost.
In a way a back story of the Big Elvis show is that determination pays.
The best Big Elvis shows were a couple of years ago in 2009, after he lost all that weight.
In 2013 there have been changes that keep the show from a five star rating.
The Sun Studios Dueling Guitar set is gone.
Chuck Rawlins, a Conway Twitty impersonator with a five star voice, who was a part of the act has left the show.
The Big Elvis Show has moved from the party time atmosphere of Bill's Gambling Hall to the corporate atmosphere of Harrah's Piano Bar.
In Bill's Gambling Hall it seemed that the King of the Strip was the King of Bill's Gambling Hall.
The sounds of the Big Elvis Show dominated the open spaces of Bill's Gambling Hall.
When Big Elvis performed a people at the slot machines and bar celebrated with Big Elvis.
However in Harrah's Piano Bar, the room is cramped and the pianos in the center cause visibility issues.
The Big Elvis Show is more than listening to Elvis Presley and classics by other artists.
The Big Elvis Show has a couple of audience participation segments.
One is where a man in the audience will dress up in an Elvis wig and play a balloon guitar while five women from the audience join him in dancing.
Usually Big Elvis is performing "Burning Love" or "Viva Las Vegas.
I find it the later, and never once participated.
I recommend seeing the Big Elvis Show.
Not expensive for a show!
Big Elvis sings the songs made famous by a man that he admires.
Elvis Presley's real life best friend Sonny West was the best man at Big Elvis' s public wedding in Bill's Gambling Hall.
Big Elvis wears Elvis Presley's TCB Taking Care of Business ring.
Through his admiration, Big Elvis introduces songs with interesting Elvis Presley facts and follows a few similar traditions of an Elvis Presley concert.
Big Elvis might give a scarf to a person in the audience.
And he could end the last set with "Can't Help Falling in Love With You.
Big Elvis still has big charisma that leaves me feeling anything but all shook up.

But there are no shows that are as much fun.
His voice is uncannily like the King's.

Since my last review they have moved the show over to Harrahs a couple of casinos north of Bills.
He takes requests from the audience, has a bit that includes audience participation, and he covers such a wide variety of Elvis' catalog.
I knocked the stars off because of Harrahs and the new venue they moved the show to.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the seating here is much more limited than it was with the set up over at Bill's.
Also, they require you purchase at least one of their price gouging drinks in order to check it out.
You had to see that coming.
Something cool and free on the strip can't last for too long, if they can help it.
So, for the required over priced drinks and change to a crappy venue, I had to knock off a couple of stars.
Big Elvis is still awesome though!

Hey the price is right free and it gives you a chanceā¦ Ive caught this show twice now and I love it!
Hey the price is right free and it gives you a chance to go to Bill's formerly the Barbary Coast to enjoy the vibe of an old school casino.
I'm not even a huge Elvis fan but this guy sounds great belting out his tunes and will also take requests from the audience.
As a tourist or a local, you owe it to yourself to check this guy out!

While I definitely prefer the venue of Bill's Gamblin' Hall, this bar at Harrah's works too.
I like to grab a seat at the bar, game a little, and get some beers.
It definitely seems like less of a crowd here than at Bill's, which is a true shame.
But the show itself remains the same - totally awesome.
This is the greatest free show in Vegas!
And even if I had to pay, it would still be one of my fav Vegas shows.
If you have any sort of appreciation for Elvis, you will love this show!
And even if you aren't a Elvis fan, but appreciate a free show and good people watching, you'll like this show.
Still the best Elvis in town.

Being a lover of all things Elvis, I am a huge fanā¦ Hands down, this is the best free show in Vegas.
Being a lover of all things Elvis, I am a huge fan of Big Elvis.
In my humble opinion, his voice is far better than any other Elvis tribute artist in town.
In fact, better than any anywhere.
And you get to hear him sing for free!
Does it get any better than that?
There are old ladies swooning as they relive their Elvis memories of the big highway games for, drunk frat boys disappointed in the lack of women to hit on but having a good time anyways, other Elvis impersonators, audience participation with prizesand a Conway Twitty impersonator.
I often can't believe this is free - and 3 times a day.
It's awesome in every way possible - and totally an only in Vegas experience.
I suggest arriving 20 minutes or so before the show and grabbing a seat at the bar as opposed to the tables.
This enables you to secure a good viewing spot and you can play video poker and drink free beer while you wait.

His voice is amazing, not only did he sing Elvis songs but he also sang Lois Armstrong.
In summary a must see in Vegas, certainly gave me that feel good factor and goose pimples on my neck 10 out of 10.

I like music and I always enjoy a free concert.
Unfortunately, I left this show feeling empty.
Be weary of Big Elvis.
Pros: - Great voice.
Big Elvis belts out the best tunes in perfect pitch - The show is in Bill's which is one of the best casinos on the strip - It's free!
Drinks and merch are available for purchase Cons: - The crowd has an average age of 65 - Big Elvis doesn't stand up.
He sits in front of the stage.
No, not on the stage.
In front of it.
Why this happens, I have no idea.
What I do know is that it makes him impossible to see if you're 20 or more feet away from the stage - The music and noise from the casino, street, etc is distracting and will drown out Big Elvis if you're not close to the stage - The opening act Kenny Rogers lookalike sings a few songs to kick things off, only to come back near the end of the show to sing a few more.
No one is impressed - Big Elvis dips into the king's gospel catalog quite a bit.
If you're not a fan of his slower tunes, you may fall asleep As a big fan of kitschy Vegas, it's hard not to get 100% behind this strange act.
However, Big Elvis is simply missing the zing that makes Vegas entertainment so special.

When I came back to vegas this week with my mom, this was the first thing I wanted to take her to.
The new venue isn't as good, but I don't care.
This guy is a trip highlight for me.
